BANGKOK, THAILAND – 23 June 2025 – GranMonte Vineyard and Winery returned with the second instalment of its GranMonte UNCORKED private wine tasting series, this time hosted at Bangkok’s vibrant coastal Indian restaurant, JHOL on Monday June 23, 2025. Designed to highlight Thailand’s award-winning wines in playful yet refined settings, UNCORKED once again brought together a select crowd of media, sommeliers, food and beverage professionals, and wine lovers for an afternoon of tropical terroir, conviviality, and discovery. 

Located on Sukhumvit 18, JHOL is known for reinterpreting coastal Indian cuisine through a modern, globally inspired lens. The restaurant’s rich palette, bold spice philosophy, and relaxed-luxury setting made it a natural collaborator for GranMonte’s evolving identity — one that pairs elegance with approachability and Thai roots with global perspective.

This second edition of UNCORKED focused on the joy of tasting and mingling. Guests enjoyed a standing walkthrough tasting of five GranMonte wines, poured into Lucaris glassware, with light yet rich bites passed through the room by the JHOL team. Not to mention, chill tropical house beats by DJ Japji Ghogar. 

The vision behind UNCORKED is to gather the industry’s brightest minds, talents, and most passionate palates in an intimate setting and celebrate GranMonte’s deep history and bright vision for the future alongside the GranMonte ‘Lohitnavy’ family; Visooth (father), Sakuna (mother), Nikki (daughter) and Mimi (daughter). 

Guests left with full hearts and already buzzing about the next edition. The UNCORKED series will continue throughout 2025, with each event revealing a new secret location and theme that reflects the character of the featured wines. Each event will be strictly by invitation only.

Guests were invited to explore a curated tasting of eight GranMonte wines, thoughtfully selected to showcase the depth and diversity of Thai tropical viticulture. Each wine was served in Lucaris glassware and paired with Southern coastal flavours from the JHOL kitchen.

GranMonte team members briefly introduced each wine throughout the afternoon, highlighting the characteristics of tropical viticulture and inviting guests to explore how Thai wines can be vibrant, structured, and wholly original.

This round of UNCORKED was also a thank-you to the community, with special nods to Lucaris, the official glassware partner, and the team at JHOL for their seamless hospitality and flavorful pairings of Kerala mutton roast, jackfruit biryani, Surti Anda Ghotala cheese toast, and more.
