137 Pillars Suites and Residences Bangkok Will Host 137 Pillars Organic Gourmet Festival from 27 February - 8 March to Promote Sustainability with an International Chef Line-up and Organic Farmer’s Market.

          On the 29th of January 2020, a luxurious yet eco-friendly hotel, 137 Pillars Suites and Residences Bangkok hosted a press conference for 137 Pillars Organic Gourmet Festival (POGF), an event promoting the sustainable gastronomical culture. The participation doesn’t limit to only gastronomers in Thailand but also international gastronomers from all around the world.

          Set in the Sukhumvit-Thonglor area, 137 Pillars Suites and Residences Bangkok aims to merge Thai design and urbanism together to give their guest the luxuriousness and local identity to the fullest, not just only for staying over but also delicacy & beverages.

          Sustainability is also the topic that this hotel & residence chain also endorses and advocates which influence the design of their accommodations but that’s not it, they want to do more so they started POGF.

          This is also an opportunity to taste cuisines from 4 chefs from Michelin-starred restaurants. On 28 February, meet  Chef David Thompson from Aaharn Hong Kong (1 Michelin Star), and his interpretation of Thai cuisine (7,000 THB++). On 29 February, meet another Chef Thaninthorn Chantrawan from Chim by Siam Wisdom (1 Michelin Star), Thailand, and his traditional Thai cuisine (6,000 THB++). On 6 March, Meet Chef Malcolm Lee, a 1 Michelin-starred chef from Candlenut (1 Michelin Star), Singapore who will serve you the taste of Peranakan (6,000 THB++). And last but not least, on 7 March meet Chef Masafumi Hamano of Au 14 Février (2 Michelin Stars), France (7,000 THB++).

          The event, sponsored by Thai Airways, will kick off with Organic Farmer’s Market where you can enjoy locally-grown fruits and vegetables, fresh meat and seafood products, coffee etc. from more than 15 producers.

           “Our previous organic festivals have proved extremely popular in Chiang Mai and in Bangkok, and we hope this edition will encourage our guests and diners to closely examine the way the food they eat is produced and hopefully support the efforts made by farmers and companies to bring ingredients that are organic and sustainable to the table,” said Christopher E.            Enjoy After Party (2,500THB++) at Nimitr with top bartenders in Asia at 10 p.m. – midnight. On 28 February, encounter with cocktails made by Mel Chavez from one of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants and Asia’s 50 Best Bars, Tippling Club, Singapore, after getting your stomach full with Chef David Thompson’s cooking.
