It was a progressive party, and I’m not talking about laser beams and house music. Starting from the ground floor, with the hotel honchos and VIPs rolling up in their best suits on the purple carpet, the local food trucks offering bangers (sausages) and spicy noodles along with bubbly and wine by Vinum Lector, and refreshments by San Pellegrino.

The party moved further up into the Gallery Kitchen on the 3rd floor, where speeches were made and the bubbles and bites continued to flow. But the ultimate highlight awaited the insatiable guests on the 28th floor at Aire Bar.

Lo and behold, against the beautiful backdrop of Bangkok’s open sky were the the Suhring Twins of Suhring*, slinging out their signature German style Currywurst Sausages in adorably printed boxes.

Chef Frank of Park Hyatt spoilt guests rotten with freshly shaved truffle over the decandly cream sauce pasta, and Chef Roberto of Spasso from the Grand Hyatt Erawan cooked up a storm with his Ravioli bufala ricotta and Strozzapreti with tomato Piennolo del Vesuvio, yes, those are tomatoes that came from the volcanic region in Campania.

Birds Rotisserie, literally brought their rotisserie oven (not an easy feat one would imagine) so guests could indulge in deliciously moist roast chicken with Chef Jeremy’s secret herbs and spices rub.

Last but not least was a gourmet spread fit for a foodie king, of local, artisanal and all natural cheese, cold cuts and charcuterie from VIVIN.
