A Sneak Preview of Carito’s Bangkok – A New Latin American Joint That’s More Than Tacos | Bangkok Foodies
Bangkok’s Latin dining scene gets a much-needed shake-up with Carito’s, a new concept by the Sarnies Group. Perched on the second floor above Sarnies Bangkok on Sukhumvit 22, Carito’s is a beautifully designed space featuring a sleek marble bar along one side. Upstairs on the third floor, an open kitchen lets diners catch glimpses of Chef Boss in action.

This isn’t your usual taco joint. Carito’s explores a bolder, broader, and more upcale spectrum of Latin American flavours rarely seen in Bangkok. We tried house-cured beef laced with cumin and Mexican oregano (380 THB), a tropical tiger prawn ceviche in coconut leche de tigre (440 THB), and smoked beef tortellini with masa harina dough (480 THB).

The char-grilled dry-aged steak was a highlight, served with screw chilli (600 THB), and the tallow-fried patacones (240 THB) delivered crispy, savoury satisfaction. We loved the mashed yucca (200 THB) and the Brazilian polenta ice cream layered with corn mousse and jam (350 THB), unusual yet familiar flavors.

A glass of sangria (400 THB) sealed the deal. Come for the heat, stay for the unexpected. Open daily from 5pm – 11pm.
