Brunch may sound like a relaxing weekend plan, but if you really think about it, that might not be completely true in a city like Bangkok, all the hassles such as traffic, queues of hungry diners. Tucked away on a quiet corner of the chic Novotel Suite Bangkok on Sukhumvit 34, foodies will be greeted by a calm environment right away as they enter White Shuffle through glass doors that opens out to the secluded outdoor dining section facing the pool. The indoor area of the restaurant is completed with a loft-style high ceiling, decorated with faux white-grey marble tables and bar then finished off with their signature glass light fixture. If you’re looking for an even more intimate corner, head up to enjoy their cosy upstairs mezzanine floor.
White Shuffle’s menu consists of comforting classic European’s dishes combined with White Shuffle’s very own contemporary twists. Chef Yannick Hollenstein, Head Chef of White Shuffle has brought his own ‘shuffle’ into the mix; taking inspirations from his European background to create fun and shareable plates all brunch lovers can enjoy from day to night.
What’s brunch without lots of food to share? Start your brunch off with White Shuffle’s ‘Sharing Snacks’. Meat lovers will love to sink their teeth into their Wagyu Beef French Toast, an appetiser that looks as good as its taste. These ‘grammable’ bites consist of Thai Wagyu Beef Short Rib MB8, Egg Yolk Creme, Black Truffle Mayonnaise on Brioche. Pair this with a lighter starter such as Marinated Yellowfin Tuna, a Hawaiian Poke Bowl inspired Salad with Incised Coral Salad, Watermelon, Edamame, Seaweed Crisp and Sesame Vinaigrette.
Main dishes at White Shuffles also encourage sharing, their signature menu not to be missed is the Kotbullar, a classic and comforting Swedish meatballs dish made of Kurobuta Pork Meatballs, Potato Espuma, Mushrooms, Lingonberry and Dill Cucumber. The hearty meatballs go perfectly with light as air Potato Espuma and slightly tangy Lingonberry sauce. Another classic item on the menu to share is Kurobuta Pork Tomahawk comes with Soy-honey Glaze, Spinach and Black Olives Gnocchi, Butternut and Mustard Sauce.
Save some room for desserts as chef Yannick also put his own spin on sweet classics. For example, the tiramisu inspired Peach, Passion & Espresso Delight is a match between rich, dark, chocolate and coffee flavours with tangy and light taste of Peach and Passion Fruit Sorbet. Sample their dessert with Sip and Sweet promotion which let you enjoy a drink with one choice of dessert or savory cold cut for just ฿199.
