Bangkok Foodies jetted off to Koh Samui for an overnight trip to uncover the delights of the SAMUI SAVOR campaign. During the trip, we had the pleasure of dining at two Michelin Bib Gourmand-rated restaurants, each offering a unique taste of the island’s culinary scene.

At Kapi Sator, we savoured a Southern Thai menu with signatures such as the ubiquitous southern stink bean with shrimp paste in a modern-cafe vibe, then to Ban Suan Lung Khai, a hidden gem nestled in a coconut grove, to enjoy sumptuous grilled and fried seafood fare designed for feasting. Importantly, we couldn’t go home without a trip to Khao Hom Restaurant, a local favourite known for its homestyle family recipe dishes and rustic outdoor setting.

Another notable and surprising experience was at Trade Winds at Celes Samui, where Chef Kasidad “Doll”, an Iron Chef Thailand competitor, created a fine-fusion menu of French, Thai, and a touch of Japanese.

This foodie-driven initiative offers travelers with a Bangkok Airways boarding pass, discounts on signature menus from 42 leading restaurants on Koh Samui. Plus, it gives them a chance to win free domestic flights! Running from May 20 to September 30, 2024, the project aims to enhance both travel and wellness experiences on Koh Samui island.

To participate, travelers need to show their Bangkok Airways boarding pass at participating restaurants to enjoy special promotions. After dining, they receive a lucky draw coupon to fill in and drop into the lucky draw box at the restaurant. Winners will be announced on October 15, 2024, on the SAMUI SAVOR Facebook page and media channels of all participating restaurants.

The restaurants cover a range of culinary lifestyles, including Fine Dining, Cafés, Local & Street Food, Dining Experience, Healthy Food, and Farm to Table. These establishments invite everyone to experience top-tier tourism on Samui Island, combining gastronomy and wellness tourism through the Bangkok Airways boarding pass.
