The 21st World Gourmet Festival will start from 4th – 8th November 2020, so prepare your palettes for this line-up of cuisine made by Thailand-based chefs all in one place, yes! Still at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel. The hotel will also offer unbeatable rates for those lucky ticket holders. 

Foodies in Bangkok will experience a wide range of restaurants from fine dining to street food. Some of Thailand’s most renowned chefs like Chef Amerigo Sesti from J’AIME by Jean-Michel Lorain (1 Michelin star), Chef Garima Arora from GAA (1 Michelin star), Chef Alessio Banchero from Biscotti (Michelin Plate), street vendor Choy Ped Yang [ฉ่อยเป็ดย่าง] (Michelin Bib Gourmand), Chef Gaggan Anand from Gaggan Anand Restaurant (Former 2 Michelin stars) and more will join this annual festival.

Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel’s 21st World Gourmet Festival will gourmands a sumptuous opportunity to experience culinary feast by talented Thailand-based chefs but also, extremely alluring accommodation deals. Diners who purchase dinner tickets at this year’s Festival can stay over at the hotel on the night of their dinner or brunch, starting from THB 1,500 net in a Deluxe Room; THB 3,000 net in a Siam Suite; and THB 6,000 net in a One-Bedroom Suite! An opportune foodies staycation for the romantically inclined or those looking to keep the party going post-dinner along with their foodies compatriots. 

Food lovers will be able to enjoy a programme of dinners and special brunches made exclusively for this famous food festival in Bangkok. Chef Ameringo of J’aime by Jean-Michel Lorain will take over Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel’s Madison on 7th of November (4,900THB++). J’aime fans shouldn’t miss the opportunity to experience J’aime cuisine out of their territory.

Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel’s Shintaro will be taken over by Chef Inoue Manaba of Ginza Sushi Ichi (1 Michelin star) and Chef Kawagushi Daiki of Ginza Tenharu on the same day as Chef Amerigo. Sushi lovers will enjoy the duo’s signature menu of sashimi, nigiri and tempura (8,000THB++)

On Sunday the 8th, Chef Garima of GAA, the only female chef in this event, along with street food vendors will take care of the special Sunday brunch (2,900THB++) but if you prefer some ‘funny water’ to pair with your meal, pay only 1,000THB++. 

At Biscotti, Chef Gagan Anand who owns a former two-Michelin-starred restaurant will be there on the 6th of November presenting his eighteen-course Escoffier menu (12,000THB++).

Not only will the restaurants from the Michelin hall of fame have the opportunity to participate in this event, but a philanthropic restaurants were also invited to participate. Restaurant Na Café at Bangkok 1899 is one of the dining programmes under Na Projects Group. It’s a outlet and initiative where refugees from all over the world have the chance to learn about building their own business before starting their new lives in their new home in the first world countries.

Na Café’s Urban Refugee Dinner (4,900THB++), is a programme that will showcase four refugee families who have been stranded here during COVID19. The cooks hail from Ethiopia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Vietnam and will create dishes traditional to their culture for foodies to experience on the 4th of November, the first day of the festival at Madison.

As obvious as it is, this event isn’t only a party for people to celebrate culinary cultures like other Bangkok’s food events but this food festival in Bangkok is aimed to help people in need as well. The 21st World Gourmet Festival proudly supports HRH Princess Soamsawali Krom Meun Suddhanarinatha HIV Prevention Fund. A portion of each dinner ticket sold will be donated to the Fund. The donation campaign was initiated with the key objective to prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV.
