La Piazza, commonly known as “The Square” is an open public area found in most cities or towns throughout Italy. It is usually a square surrounded by beautiful cathedrals, cafés, restaurants or public buildings. The idea of the Piazza was introduced in Italy in the Middle Ages and remains to this day as a public place where Italians gather and socialize.
