Bacco Beach Restaurant & Wine Bar

Bangkok Foodies Review – Bacco Beach Pattaya

Due to rain, unfortunately we didn’t have the opportunity to eat at all those spectacular crab and seafood joints you recommended. Bacco Beach Restaurant was the best alternative for our dampening predicament.

The outdoor part of the restaurant is literally on the beach with Mediterranean style comfy seating, and without obstruction for (potentially) beautiful sun setting. The covered restaurant is enormous but feels cold and cavernous when empty.

The seafood spaghetti came out in a Baking paper bag. The flavour was satisfactory but lacked all that deep, fishy aroma of seafood. The tortellini with pancetta ham was deeeeeelicious! Shame there so bloody little of it. The crab pasta was appropriately crabby but again, where was the oomph? No harm no foul, except one disaster which presented itself was the tuna tartar. Absolutely no taste whatsoever! Oily, watery and uninteresting.

Definitely a lovely place to sit but I’ll think twice before coming back, or maybe visit the original in Bangkok. Home is where the heart is.
