Tucked in the same soi as Jim Thompson House, Cafe at Ease is a new tea room set in a revamped house decked out with faux grass and surrounded by big trees. Also on-site is the owner Monrissa Leenutaphong’s clothing store stocking the brand Monrissa Couture plus other artsy products such as t-shirts, stationary and even some artworks.

The tea here is served in glass pots, all the better to see the tea leaves and flowers floating about, as in the pot of rose tea or orange and cinnamon rooibos tea. Try the English Tea Set which comprises camomile tea served with milk and lemon.

To go with your cuppa, try something sweet like the passion fruit tart or a slice of dark chocolate tart. If you’re really hungry, there are some heavier bites like the BBQ chicken wings and grilled mussels with cheese and garlic.
