About Eatery, a local Italian favourite in Bangkok, known for handmade pasta and other scrumptious, high quality Italian fare reopened from October 1st 2021 with the announcement that they will now open every Sunday. 

As part of the Reopening and Open on Sundays Promotion the team are offering a FREE TIRAMISU per table when you visit on a Sunday. Limited per table and for a limited time only.

The About Eatery team has acquired a historical pasta-making relic. An instrument which dates back to 1875 when Francesco Bottene applied for royal patent no. 8014 for what was then called a “new machine for making pasta at home” called “Bigolaro”. 

This medieval looking contraption is made from copper and functions by attaching to a table/furniture and manually turning the crank until the fresh pasta dough is pressed through the cutter, resulting in a broader spaghetti-like pasta shape with rough and porous texture. The pasta is revered for its ability to best absorb sauces or condiments, with a unique and irregular texture that can only come from this type of manual tool. It takes strength and patience to produce just the smallest amount of Bigoli pasta.
