Bangkok Foodies Review – Tapas Y Vino
Bangkok Foodies Review at Tapas Y Vino. You can truly appreciate something good, when you’ve had it below-par. Lastnight night I had a burnt churro with raw dough inside but this was NOT at Tapas Y Vino at the Pullman Bangkok Grande Sukhumvit. Their Churros were absolutely delicious. Cleverly served for a Chocoholic to a Churro crackhouse, with the decadent melted chocolate carried in a large syringe vessel and icing sugar powder applied illiberally to the board. A sight for sore eyes but even worse for your sweet cravings, truly top notch.
The Tapas were also well executed. Mostly. I loved the little round potato bravas, the shrimp and mini chorizo were also divine and cooked to perfection. The Sangria was way too sweet for my tastes and the sunflower seed felt a bit odd in the tuna tartare.
Overall great dinner, especially with friends, the atmosphere is jovial but they may want to change the CD with what sounds like a woman chocking on a croquette. They were also good need I mention.
Go say hi to the new Spanish Chef, Chef Pedro, the guy with food passion as fiery a his hair. Right now they have a promotion, Tapas and Sangria (pitcher OR bottle of house wine) 1700++ per person for a set. For the quality and atmosphere, it shouldn’t disappoint.
