We do love to escape Bangkok’s brutal heat by sipping a few cocktails atop a building overlooking a gorgeous skyline view of the bustling city as much as the next tourist..well, that is until we receive the bill!
Expensive and Skybar has become synonymous in Bangkok, which is not totally unfair considering the food and drink is generally excellent, but the idea to “pay” for a view can get tiring, especially if you’re a local.
Enter… AIRE BAR! A new Skybar on the floor of the brand spanking new Hyatt Place hotel which pits itself as a place for the “self-reliant traveler”, which is code for “budget”, but still with mod comforts and without the over-service bull.
Saraid Carey, local Wonderwoman / General Manager behind the record opening ( 4 Months ) Hyatt Place, gives us the first run-down on the AIRE BAR concept which claims to be the first of its kind in the Upper Sukhumvit area, with cocktails not to exceed 300 THB! BKF: Please give us a little summary of the Hyatt Place model?
At Hyatt Place Bangkok Sukhumvit we are focused on creating a place that offers 24/7 conveniences; it’s a stylish brand which focuses more on casual modern comforts.

Sometimes, as locals, we don’t stop or get the opportunity to relax at skybars due to price and inconvenience or either the setting feels too formal or it’s geared toward tourists.

The food, we are still finalizing but we guarantee there will be affordable; small plate tapas and bar snacks, such as olives, cheese and charcuterie platters and other delectable bites.
For entertainment the AIRE BAR will provide chilled out tunes until late and energizing party and live music elements on Friday and Saturday evenings.

– Prosecco – 199 glass bottle 1000! Wines by the glass 299 – 349 Champagne 3900 bottle (Louis Roederer). Many white and red wines 1600-2200 by the bottle **one pinot noir at 3800 and Cocktails designed by Nick Braun 260 – 280THB!!

Here’s the deal for our “Happiness in the AIRE” New Years Party. The event is from 9pm on the 31st December 2017. The entry is priced at 3,750 Baht net per person, including free flow Prosecco, wines, beers, and snacks.
