Gaggan's New Emoji Menu Review Entirely in Instagram Posts - by Bangkok Foodies

So here we are again, at the same time same place as last year, but unlike our very first review at Gaggan’s “The Lab” which was the most epic (in length) in Bangkok Foodies history, I’m keeping this one short, like really short.

Why? I think it’s most fitting for this menu which is presented to diners as a long list of single emojis.  I guess it’s only fair we return the gesture by staying in social media theme.

For this one-time review, we pay homage to an online platform that helps us make decisions based on visuals and icon typed messages like emojis. Their influence in the food business continue to motivate and entice us whether we like it or not, and Gaggan’s (Instagram-worthy) dishes are no exception.

However, no review of any length could truly describe the Gaggan experience.  Ultimately, Foodies need to go out and experience it for themselves, because at Gaggan, that’s what it’s always been about – the experience.

I’m keeping this one short, like really short. Why? I think it’s most fitting for this menu which is presented to diners listed in single emojis and only fair we return the same modern mystery.  And why shouldn’t we pay homage to Instagram where images and emoticons are the most commonly used language to communicate food desire, along with a Millennial salute to Gaggan’s (Instagram-mad) cuisine, which really, no words in any review can truly describe it. Foodies need to go out and experience it for yourself, because at Gaggan that’s what it’s all about – the experience.

🍑 : Peach Ghewar PEACH GHEWAR Not dissimilar to the IDLY SAMBHAR in terms of fluffiness, which I enjoyed with the light peachy flavour.
