Crying Thaiger Bangkok to shed its last tear – Closing notice
Crying Thaiger in Bangkok to Close it's doors on 22nd December 2017.
As per public announcement on the Crying Thaiger Facebook page, the Daniel Thaiger brand’s first brick-and-mortar restaurant is closing down..for good! **Collective moans of hanger across the city**
Although it’s not clear as to why they have been forced to close their doors, Bangkok Foodies insider tip by a CT Team member stated the reasons were issues associated with their geographical location, and are not due to financial strife or dispute with their landlord.
Since September of 2016, Crying Thaiger on Sukhumvit soi 51, have offered Sukhumvit residents and beyond, a haven for those seeking decadent “American” brioche bun burgers, fusion fries and Tomahawks.
Not to mention their Taco Tuesdays have been a big hit, covering their bases for the Burger and Mexican-mad Bangkok foodies community.
I guess there’s no time to wait for a bitter-sweet farewell and to say ‘thanks’ to this family-style establishment, who have brought foodies much joy along with some fun and futile burger discussions.
Whether you were a fan or not, one thing is for certain, the Daniel Thaiger / Crying Thaiger team have stayed true to their philosophy of delivering good taste and quality ingredients whilst creating a local community spirit among burger lovers. A contribution which deserves one last round of applause.
Follow their Facebook and Instagram to catch dates on special closing events and menus before they bite the bun on the 22nd December 2017. A nice little Pre-Xmas feast opportunity for friends and family.
The Daniel Thagier burger truck and Daniel Thaiger at BREW on soi 11 will be operating as usual. To leave foodies on an extra positive note – and you heard it here first – we hear reports they plan to move (not very far at all) to a location which is buzzing with Upper Sukhumvit hipsters and critical burger fanatics. The legend continues.
