Chef Fabio and Fivera Pop Opera Play for the Sense at Le MéRidien Suvarnabhumi, Bangkok Golf Resort and Spa

There’s always a first time for everything, this was our first time at Le Méridien Suvarnabhumi, Bangkok Golf Resort and Spa which by the way is the only “resort” in Bangkok apparently and it truly is surrounded by nature, mostly manicured lawns but beautiful nonetheless.

🌿Secondly, it was our first time experiencing live Opera and by our tables! Last but not least, we had the opportunity to try Chef Fabio’s cuisine. The three tie in very nicely together, with three of our senses being tantalised.

🍝Let’s start with the taste. The Three course set menu by Fabio began with the Burrata cheese, puglia with eggplant and basil. The Burrata was excellent, creamy but with great texture, a refreshing way to start, secondly the Grilled Organic Lamb Saddle, the highlight of the meal was intensely fatty and flavoursome, if a little too fat for some, lastly we were served the Montepulciano (Wine) Ice Cream. Actually I take it back, this was the highlight. Incredible taste, with the tannin from the wine and sugary of ice cream but we could have forgo the Pecorino Cheese, ruse was a little too weird. All dishes were accompanied with Italian wines supplied by IWS.

🍷But importantly we’re talking about the whole experience, our ears were being treated to Live Pop-Opera by Fivera, and it’s pretty incredible the effect opera can have while dining, especially when it’s right in front of you, plus our eyes also got to feast on our comfortable surroundings. Favola provides an opulent settings but with much of a relaxed and casual ambience. For 2,500 THB++ including a bevy of quality wine (bevy of good-looking opera singers), satisfying dishes and sweet sweet music.
